Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him. Psalms 127:3

Playtime, A Shower and The Longhorns!!

This past weekend I helped be a hostess at a shower for Shay and Baby Kensington. It was a lot of fun. Lots of good food and great friends gathered to shower the Shull Family.

The Hostesses and Shay: Leslie, Me, Erika, Shay, Andrea, Whitney, and Rachel

Daddy was out of town so Miller came with me to the shower. He HAD to wear his UT gear because Texas was playing OU...and like I said Daddy was out of town so we could sneak the UT shirt on him!! I guess it was a good luck charm because the Longhorns WON!! Yeah!!

On Thursday night we went to the Watts' House to have a Mommy and Baby Play Time. It was funny watching Miller interact with the others. At first he seemed at a loss as to what he was supposed to do with the other children. I think that has a lot to do with him staying home with me instead of going to daycare. He just sat back and observed the others playing but eventually he jumped in and started playing with the rest of the group. My mom said I was the same way when I was his age!!

The Groomer

I took the dogs to the groomer this past Saturday because they were MUCH over due for a good grooming!! Here is the picture of the dogs after the groomer. Cosmo looked really cute but his ears were REALLY fluffy and long so I decided to "fix" the problem and cut the hair on his ears shorter. I guess the groomer knows what she is doing because now he looks rather silly with short fluffy ears...as shown in the picture below!! On the way to the groomer's I had to dodge traffic in downtown McKinney. It was CRAZY all the people out. I decided we had to check out the madness so we made our way to the Square and found out McKinney was having Octoberfest. It was so crowded. Here are a few pictures of us at Octoberfest. Miller enjoyed the German Music!! He even clapped along during the "Chicken Dance" song!

TOYS TOYS TOYS!!

I try to neatly pile Miller's toys in a box in our living room so he can easily get to them but also to keep them out of the way so our living room can be as neat as possible. Easier said than done when you have an 10 month old!! The first 2 pictures are the neat pile of toys just waiting for Miller to find!! The last 2 pictures are of the aftermath!! Toys EVERYWHERE!! So much for neat and tidy!!

Like I said in my previous blog my parents came to our house to evacuate from Hurricane Ike. So naturally all their dogs came too. Did I mention they have 4 poodles?? That made a total of 6 dogs in our house...5 of them being poodles. It was CRAZY but fun!!

These are some pictures from dinner at Sicily's with The McAnally's. We had fun with our little ones and enjoyed some good food with great friends!!

Baby Pictures

My parents came to McKinney this past weekend to evacuate from Hurricane Ike. They brought along many important things with them in case they had damage to their home. Fortunately for them they did not have any major damage...just lost power for a few days and had minor tree damage. They brought with them some old photo albums from when I was a baby. Many people tell me that Miller looks like me. I really didn't see it until I looked at some of my old baby pictures. I can definitely see it now...especially from the nose up. I will admit that from the nose down he looks like his Daddy. He even has a little dimple in his chin like Daddy but from the nose up he is all me!! Check out my old baby pictures and tell me what you think!!??

Texas A&M vs Arkansas State

We went to College Station this weekend to kick off football season. We have season tickets to the A&M football games. (Don't worry all my Longhorn friends...I have NOT been converted. I just support my husband's interests!) It was especially fun because my little brother is a freshman at A&M so we got to hang with a lot of family. Although the game was a bit disappointing here are a few pictures from the weekend. Marsh bought Miller a tiny 12th Man Jersey. I have to say it is really cute!

Marble Falls Getaway

We went to Marble Falls this weekend with friends to celebrate the end of summer. We had lots of fun jet skiing on the lake, eating, lounging, playing pool, watching the Olympics and putting together a very addicting puzzle. Cheree and her husband Mark came out for the day on Saturday to enjoy the lake too. Overall it was a wonderful trip. Thanks Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mark for letting us borrow the house for the weekend. (Mandy and Brandon we really missed you guys. We love you!!)

College Move-In

My brother moved into his dorm at A&M this past weekend. It was so exciting seeing all the eager and energetic new freshmen...and lots of sad crying mommas!! He is really excited about being an Aggie. Here are a few pictures from College Station. We also saw my cousin and his family while we were in town. Miller and his cousin Grace are sitting on a little "baby" couch. Isn't it cute?

Ready for Football Season!!

Miller is ready for football season. The question is...Who will he root for?? The Longhorns...Mommy's team....OR the Aggies...Daddy's team?? One thing is for sure he will definitely be cheering on the Sweeny Bulldogs!! Grandpa Grumpy coaches the Bulldogs!!

CRAWLING!!!

About a week after learning that he can move around by doing the army crawl, Miller figured out that he can move even faster by using his knees. So now he is in to EVERYTHING!! It is tons of fun watching him change so much. I know it seems that I only post pictures of us before we go to Church but that is the time when we all are dressed in our "Sunday Best!!" So here once again are a few pictures of us on our way to Church!!
