I'm Ready for Christmas!!

Well I can't hold back any longer. I am ready to get Christmas rolling. (Don't get me wrong - I love Thanksgiving too but I love Christmas even more! One reason Thanksgiving isn't as special to me is that my dad is a high school football coach so we were often playing playoff football during Thanksgiving so Thanksgiving was almost secondary to football. Don't get mad at my dad that is just the nature of TEXAS FOOTBALL!) I have been patiently waiting for 103.7 Lite FM to start playing their annual Christmas music. Last year they started it REALLY early. I check everyday...nothing but Lite Rock. So I have decided to put some Christmas music on my blog. I know some people may not like it and get really tired of the Christmas music when it is played before Thanksgiving but I do not ever get tired of it so I am starting early this year. I hope this doesn't turn anyone away!! Enjoy - I will be adding more songs later but here are a few of my favorites. (Scroll to the bottom and pick one of your favorites too!!) Oh Holy Night is my all time FAVORITE Christmas song but Here with Us by Joy Williams and Joseph's Lullaby by Mercy Me are a close 2nd and 3rd.

Happy 1st Birthday...Again!!

We had Miller's 1st Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese in College Station this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. We had so many friends and family come to celebrate our little boy. We are so blessed with our little one and our wonderful family. Thanks everyone for making Miller's 1st Birthday a memorable one!!

A Dragon and 2 Lady Bugs!!

Charlie and I took off work on Friday and headed to College Station early so we could have lunch with my brother - he is a freshman at A&M. We also wanted to get there in time to go trick or treating!! After lunch we went to my aunt and uncle's house and met up with our cousins - Grace and Reagan. They were both lady bugs--aren't they adorable!! Miller was not feeling that well but we still had a good time and got lots of great pictures. Enjoy!!

Uncle Julio's Birthday Celebration

Miller picked his favorite Mexican restaurant - Uncle Julio's - to have his birthday celebration...ok it is mommy and daddy's favorite Mexican restaurant!! Here are a few pictures of his 1st birthday dinner at Uncle Julio's. He really enjoyed the sopapillas and the Happy Birthday song!! We are having a family party at Chuck E. Cheese in College Station on Sunday so more birthday pictures to come! (It's funny how we have to schedule birthday parties around A&M football...just joking!!!)

Happy 1st Birthday Miller!!

God has blessed our family in so many ways. The biggest, most wonderful blessing of all is our little boy Miller. Today is Miller's 1st Birthday. At 6:30 a.m. one year ago today our little miracle was born. I love my son with all my heart and can't wait to see what the future holds for him. Thank you God for giving him to us. We love you Miller. HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Mommy and Daddy!! (Here are a few pictures from the hospital and the last picture was taken this morning on his 1st birthday!!)

Harvest Party

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful Sunday School Class. The Cox Family hosted a fall Harvest Party at their house. We had stew, smores by the fire pit, and lots of good company!! The kids dressed up in their Halloween Costumes. Here are a few adorable pictures from the night!! Thanks Cox Family for having us!!

Gigi comes to town!!

My mom (Gigi) came to McKinney last week for a whole week. We had lots of fun. Miller really enjoyed spending some time with his Gigi.

The family eating at Babe's Chicken. YUMMY!!

My son has decided that he hates anything on his feet. As you can see from this picture he would prefer to eat his sock rather than wear it!

Playtime, A Shower and The Longhorns!!

This past weekend I helped be a hostess at a shower for Shay and Baby Kensington. It was a lot of fun. Lots of good food and great friends gathered to shower the Shull Family.

The Hostesses and Shay: Leslie, Me, Erika, Shay, Andrea, Whitney, and Rachel

Daddy was out of town so Miller came with me to the shower. He HAD to wear his UT gear because Texas was playing OU...and like I said Daddy was out of town so we could sneak the UT shirt on him!! I guess it was a good luck charm because the Longhorns WON!! Yeah!!

On Thursday night we went to the Watts' House to have a Mommy and Baby Play Time. It was funny watching Miller interact with the others. At first he seemed at a loss as to what he was supposed to do with the other children. I think that has a lot to do with him staying home with me instead of going to daycare. He just sat back and observed the others playing but eventually he jumped in and started playing with the rest of the group. My mom said I was the same way when I was his age!!
