New Braunfels

When I was little we used to take a trip to New Braunfels EVERY summer with my mom's side of the family. It was the highlight of my summer as a child. We did that every summer for about 20+ years. I had so much fun playing with my cousins, floating the river, EATING, and going to Schlitterbahn. This was the first year we all went back as a big group in about 5 years. We had tons of fun. Now most of the kids (me and my cousins) have kids so our kids will get to experience this trip for years to come. I hope they have as much fun as we had in New Braunfels!! :-)

DEER!!!

My Dad's retirement party was held at the Bar X Ranch. Deer roam freely on the entire property (No hunting allowed). Here are a few pictures of the deer we saw over the weekend.

This is Where The Cowboys Rides Away!!

You know that old George Strait Song...This is Where the Cowboy Rides Away....Well it reminds me of my Dad. He has been coaching for 34 years!! Last weekend the coaching staff, friends and family bid my Dad - Coach Tommy Zajicek and Coach Johnny Scarborough farewell from coaching and Sweeny ISD. They are both retiring this May!! (Just For Your Information - Coach Scarborough has been my dad's assistant coach and right hand man for as long as I can remember...he was also the BEST calculus teacher on the face of this Earth!!! You will be missed Coach!!) Over the past few years my Dad has apologized for his absence in my youth due to his focus on football...but I don't see it that way at all!! I want my Dad to know that he is the BEST Dad anyone could ever have or want and I know any sacrifices he made in my youth were to benefit me and our family! I LOVE YOU DADDY MORE THAN WORDS CAN EXPRESS!!

Sweeny Pride Day

Every year on the 1st Saturday in May, Sweeny, Texas celebrates Sweeny Pride Day. I think it originated as a May Fest but it is called Pride Day! There is a small parade through town, a Pride Day Queen Pageant, and a carnival at one of the parks. Here are a few pictures from the parade to the carnival.
Jack being "propped" up by the pack-in-play!! He is sitting up on his own but we didn't want him falling over during the parade!!

Waiting for the parade!!
